Hello All
Saturday evening looks good according to BBC weather report. Clear Skies BUT COLD BRRRRRRRR!
So make sure you have thermals and wooly knickers.
A thermos would be a good idea too.
I plan a bit of a "Messier Challenge". I will prepare some sheets to tick them off (the deep sky objects) and keep as a reference.
If anyone would like to come post your intentions I will take my 12" so
everyone will get a chance to use it and I will take 2 pairs of Binos. If anyone else has Binoculars please bring them. Wrap up well!
And a collapsible chair would be an advantage.
Lets make this a good one.

Ah well,
Just myself and Donald.
We did manage to get some observing done when the sky finally cleared.
Perhaps better next time.

weather looked bad in the bay - and no time on meeting.
Sunday seemed much clearer (7 stars in plough, 3 in small bear) - and tonite (monday) already looks fair - as long as mist does not roll in.
Moon already out - but it will set at 7pm (early) and its a good pointer as jupiter is just above it and to the left - good olde stellarium.
And at 17:15 there was venus just sitting above the rail bridge.
Nice site - Moon, Jupiter, Venus.

Hi Brian
Yes Sun and Mon were great all clear in DEX.
Added M110 in Andromeda M92 to my growing list. No luck with M1 though.
I would have thought it would be easy to see that in 12 " but as I said no luck. I spent most of last night trying my inclinometer. Finally got it sussed
and had great success in finding DSO's but not M1 again. Taurids looks like it will be a good bet middle of month already seen 7.
|See you tonight athe Bay Inn
