Have just had a reminder from John, an astro-contact of mine in Bexhill, about the occultation of Venus by the Moon, on Monday, 18th June.
Timings I have for Eastbourne are 15:03:40 to 16:21:00 (BST), and John says it’s also on the web-site of the Society for Popular Astronomy, at
Venus will be mag -4.36, and I have no idea if this will be within reach of my binoculars, but I’m definitely going to have a look (weather permitting, of course!).
Ephemera like comets, eclipses, meteor showers etc.
