Apologies that they're set for London, but wasn't able to find any adjusted for Edinburgh.

Thanks for the charts - should help in finding the thing.
I'm planning to go along and start setting up around 7.30pm. Anyone care to join me?

I'll be there for about 1930 as well; are you bringing a scope along or is it just a bin's night?

I'll bring a scope, as well as some bins on a tripod.
I shelled out for SkySafari Pro, which is a mobile app that can track DA14 (Stellarium gives dodgy positions for it, unfortunately).
The SkySafari positions seem to agree very closely with the JPL Horizons numbers.
See you there,
P.

Currently at 6pm, eastern sky still clouded, but clearing up very nicely indeed from the west, moderate moonlight, so looking very promising. :D

Some websites say target visible from 7:25pm but I'm assuming thats the "London" based rather than 55-deg North?

Will turn up somewhere shortly before 8pm

Will be there with my Lad.
Bringing the scope to try out the new "Skyfi" with Sky Safari Pro on the IPAD and see if it tracks 2012 DA14.
Should be fun :) will be there around 8pm

Great to see such a good turn-out on what was basically a short-notice "flash mob " night :D
including members that haven't been able to drop in for a while.

Good clearing skies after the "asteroid watch" meant a lot of late winter sky sights were on clear view too.

The Braefoot road "St Colme big hoose" new carpark definately makes a good darkish "big sky" local viewing point.
