Hi Guys
Looking for volunteers on this one to assist at Touch Primary School on 7th December for a Stargazing event. We would be putting on a live deepsky display with video cameras projecting into the main hall and outside scope viewing as well as presentation in the main hall. I will confirm details at November meeting just need interested parties to come forward could be upwards of 100+ kids and parents.
refreshments will be provided.
Geoff

P.S. We will also be at the Fairmont in January for Stargazing Live over 3 nights. We have Prof. Ian Morison once more assisting us on all 3 nights and will be having lectures and live events outside. We have asked St Andrews University to assist and they are circulating event to all lecturers and Students.
We hope to have the BBC there to screen the event so again all hands to the pumps as it were.
This is a great opportunity to raise our profile nationally.

Hi Geoff,

I'm pretty sure we'll be able to make both the Touch PS and St Andrews' events and will be able to bring a scope.

Geoff...

7th December - I should be OK provisionally for the 7th December one.

Fairmont - THREE nights on the trot might be a bit too much, but I would try to be able to do at least one of them.

Good score getting the The Prof again - no doubt there might just be a good hotel nearby to the site where we can put him up!
