If the weather is ok then myself and Sandy will be coming up with one or two others and we'll be bringing our scope. We may have space in the car but I can't guarantee it, sorry.

Geoff,
Assuming the weather allows, whats the position with availability of power, should we bring extension cords or power packs?
Thanks Pete

Hi All
weather situation looks not too bad and a definite descision has now been taken to go ahead with the event. Power will be supplied and there will be tea and coffee available from 6pm onwards in the gazebo. We are hoping to be broadcasting live on the night skies network http://www.nightskiesnetwork.com so anyone who can't make it can tune in then and see what we will be seeing live on the air. To view click on view as a guest or register for an account and you can take part in the live chat.
This is going to be a great night so i urge as many as possible to attend

Thanks Geoff! AMAZING !After 9:30 when the clouds cleared we were treated to the darkest clearest skies I have seen
The Milkyway,Andromeda and Jupiter were amazing but for me it was the sheer number of stars visable.
Thanks again to Geoff for aranging the trip and thanks to the Fairmont Hotel for a Great evening
Looking forward to the next one! Chris
