Fairmont Hotel 2oth October

Postby Cosmic » 08 Oct 2012, 15:37

Hi All
we have a firm booking at the Fairmont Hotel St Andrews on 20th October kick of will be 1900hrs for the general public we obviously need to be there earlier so I leave that up to you but you need to be there early to set up. I intend to be there sort of 4:30pm ish.
The hotel is choc a bloc full with families (many kids) so expect a good attendance. We will also have a couple of coach loads of scouts to contend with.
As always help in any way will be appreciated so please advise in this post if you will be coming and can give a lift to anyone. You will have to make a packed lunch/dinner but tea coffee should be provided and we will have a gazebo to set up the TV with live internet connection. We will be broadcasting to the world via Night Skies Network. The Hotel will be publicising this event in St Andrews and this will be a dry run for the BBC Stargazing Live event for January 2013 we hope to have some celebrity attendance too (shhh). More to follow just let me know your intention to attend.

Hi Geoff

Am going to St Andrews, accompanied by a friend, so unfortunately we can't also manage passengers. Diane Gulaboff

I'll be going along, will bring a scope (not the 6" AP tho) and could fit one passenger in.

Hi Geoff
Is it ok for a carload of people to attend, although not members of the Club. ( includes 16yr old wanting career in Astro-Physics ) They will bring a scope.

Hi diane
I don't have a problem with that but they will be your responsibility. I'm sure they will enjoy themselves :D
