Clydesdale Astro Society invite

Postby Cosmic » 02 May 2011, 09:16

Hi All
we have been invited to Clydesdale AS meeting on Monday 09 May
I would like a good turnout so please indicate your willingness to represent YOUR club at this meeting
Geoff

Hi Geoff,

I'd like to extend an invite to your members to our meeting on the 9th May, when we have Prof Colin McInnes, "Near Earth Asteroids, Hazards & Other Opportunities". He is by all accounts an excellent speaker, and one of our big speakers this year, so it would be good to have more people in the audience for this talk. We meet in the Bankhall, Climpy Road, Forth, at 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm. For those with satnavs the postcode is ML118BX.

We look forward to having some of your members attend.

Best Wishes
alice-amanda kay (meeting secretary/publicity officer for CAS)

Hi Morag
Not sure but I don't think that will leave you enough time. I'm thinking of a carpool with all members paying £2 to the driver for fuel.

I was under the impression it was "Forth Valley" astronomy society, based "somewhere the other side of Edinburgh".

Forth is an ex-mining village away over on the moors towards the Clyde Valley, along the M8 and beyond Livingston near the old A8 somewhere (note the MOTHERWELL postcode).

I've done Dbay to Livy in 25 mins - but only on an empty motorway!

Hi all
This is a terrible response to this kind invite! Why do I bother to try to raise the profile of the club when so little enthusiasm is shown by the members?

I'll be going along. Anyone want a lift from DB - let me know.
