Postby Opel star » 13 Jan 2014, 01:15

What a great night with mostly clear skies .Here are some of the pics that Sarah had taken on the night. Pretty amazing considering it was a bright 3/4 moon and Sarah is only 10 :!: Well done sarah :D

Excellent pics! And great colour depth on that Orion nebula one in particular. :D

The Andromeda ones seem to have "lost" the spiral arm dust lanes a bit in the process
of being compressed down to 99 kB Chris, but I'm sure the JPEG originals will look a treat
if printed out for Sarah on some good glossy photo paper stock! (...and no doubt framed :) )

Thank you for a great evening - Sarah was really inspired. You were all so patient and very kind letting her have a go. She has shown her class the pictures and is now telling everyone she is going to be an astronomer when she's older! Thanks again Chris, and everyone at DBAC.
