Hi all,

As it was a clear last night Sandy and I took out our new refractor and pointed it at Jupiter. Using a Philips SPC900NC webcam we took several videos; 2000 frames at 10fps and after processing in Registax 6 came up with the following. We were really pleased with the result! Our first sighting of the red spot!

Awesome Jupiter! Was the clearest night of the year last night. Looks like the new scope is going to be a good one :D

Thanks Chris. Can't wait for the next clear night so we can point it at some DSO's.
