M109 Ursa Major

Postby Cosmic » 09 Nov 2011, 14:28

Hi All, here is M109 in Ursa Major a very faint and small object in an 80mm scope. Imaged with my usual setup and if you look to the left you will see another galaxy side on and at 5 o'clock below you will see another. ( I imaged this at 04:30 sunday morning!) M109 is between 9 and 10 Magnitude.

There are actually 3 more galaxies in this image so I have included an inverse greyscale to show them in a bettaer light
