First Meeting!

Since we've been having miserably cloudy weather for the last week or two, let's have our inaugural meeting indoors, at the Bay Inn, in the conservatory, at 7.30pm this coming Thursday, 14th December. If it's clear, we might see some stars through the roof.

Astronomy for Kids?

Although the club is mainly for adults, we don't want to exclude kids
from what can be a rewarding hobby.

In the short term, at least, we aren't likely to have any provisions
for unaccompanied kids, but if parents wish to bring their children along
they are most welcome to do so.

Courtesy of the Isle of Man Astronomical Society, we have joined a webring, to connect us to lots of other Astronomy clubs around the British Isles.

Actually, we've applied to join. Until they add us to the list, the webring won't really work properly for us, but one day it should.
