Gallloway Dark Skies Gathering Feb 2015

Anybody wanting to go? The Galloway Gathering is on the 19th Feb to the 23rd Feb at Drumromin campsite.The sky is very dark and the campsite has got very good facilities with stunning views. They do a very good job of blocking out all the lights from the campsite to make it even darker.No white ligh...

Your scope will be very nice on the Orion nebula especially with the cls clip filter.After the Christmas madness we should all head up north when its a new moon and find some dark skies to photograph!

Very nice Pete.Always wondered how you would calculate the spacing of the secondary accurately. If anybody has tried to cut a circle in a sheet of plywood using a jigsaw they will understand how hard it is to get your apparently perfect circles! Respect!

Good old astrobuysell :D looking good and I like your telescope workshop.Looks very professional.The only plywood I have is 9mm so it would have to be screwed and glued together but I have lots of it.

You look like you are having fun there Pete! All very technical. It is going to be a similar spec to my 6" grey scope so with a dark sky you should be able to photograph the Horse Head Nebula :D
