Re: What If........?

Hi Alan

The Answer believe or not ! Is actually no.

There are no specialist astronomy shops in Scotland ?

I have bought nearly all my gear over the past 8 years online or traded with colleagues or from

UK Astro Buy n Sell.

Re: Horizon Special on the Transit

Oh I should perhaps point out that I'm only prepared to give a lift to members whom are

using refractors for the Transit :D I would not wish any mirrored unit to bounce out of

collimation during the trip or it to offer low contrast centrally obstructed views of the event :P

Re: Transit of Venus

Dearest Geoffrey

I would accept a mirrored device even with its cool down , collimation and "horrendous"

central obstruction issues if it were made to a NASA specification , so that's never then 8)

Re: Venus Transit 6 June 2012

Hi Paul

Was wondering if we need to leave that early , as I reckon it can only be about an hours drive away.

I can take four passengers but have 2 places already reserved so can accommodate another 2.
