Hi, as you know we are holding our Family Star Party on 18/11/08 and hoped that we would have some people with experience of astrophotography at the evening.

I've mentioned our evening to a Lecturer at Carnegie College who was interested in working with the club to take forward astrophotography and is going to tell his students about the event on 18/11/08.

We may get some students along so wondered if we could ask anyone with experience in astrophotography to be available to give advice or demonstrate equipment and/or registax?

Can anyone who is able to help out reply to this post please.

Thanks

Hi Brian
Maybe Astro george could bring his afocal adapter and camera and we could demonstrate a simple way of taking pictures as well as using ccd imager/webcam.
This may be simpler for novices to understand.

can we have a show of hands (by posting) of all commitee members able to attend
on the 18th so we can perhaps allocate tasks to them.

Catering will supply hot and cold drinks (juice) and biscuits but I may need some help to get everything down there as I would like to take 12" dob.
Any help appreciated.

Cosmic

Hi, about five photography students from Carnegie College are hoping to come along so it's great that bwh and Astrogeorge are bringing some equipment.  bhenderson50 is hoping to be there on Tuesday if so that's someone else to help give advice.

I think it's going to be a great night - see you all then.
