Saturn 22nd March - excellent seeing

Thought I'd post this as a comparison to my 20th March image. Seeing was probably the best it's been in the last 6 months - I've even caught the C Ring which is a first for me.

Captured with a mono webcam, x2.8 barlow and a red ccd filter. Oh and my Mirage.

Cheers

Solar B

I,ve clicked and compared the two and there is a big difference.

This is jaw-dropping, Andy! Just shows what a difference the seeing makes.

How does the C8 compare in terms of saturn viewing ? chasing some very old c8 on ebay in the states, and wondering about how you can see with one ?

Bigish aperture so you see a fair amount. Hard to explain but don't expect to see what you see in photos though. Cassini division with ease, some detail on Jupiter, brighter DSO's (M57 very easy), and the Moon? Well it's just stunning!
