Yep cracking image of Pluto , How did you manage it , sure "NEW HORIZONS" is years away from plato or whatever you call it . brian

This is fantastic, Andy! The detail is phenomenal: is that Pico just 'below' the crater, and the Tenerifes just to the right?

What telescope were you using? And was it a camera or web-cam?

Hi Emma
It's a webcam image taken with my 180mm Maksutov Cassegrain and a 1.6x Barlow. The Teneriffe's are the mountains below Plato and Pico's the one on the far left. I forgot to reverse the pic when I was procesing it o sorry for the confusion...

No confusion over the mirror image, Andy (my Meade gives the same orientation!) - just such a lot of detail, I wasn't sure!
