Hi All here's my first Lunar image for you to pick the bones out of. I liked it for the shadow from the mountains and in paticular the single towering mound bottom left. Anyone know what it's called?
Geoff

George see pic i have found info and updated. What an interesting region. Andy was right the moon is something else! Mons piton is 2.1 Km high and between craters Archimedes and Autolycus is the crash site for the Russian probe Luna 2. As if that wasn't enough to the north of Autolycus is Hadley rille the landing site of Apollo 15 so this is turning out to be quite an interesting picture. The best part is putting names to the features on the image.
